Our company was founded in 1989 by GEP Vienna, a subsidiary of GiroCredit dealing with environmental-related projects, and Maschinenfabrik Andritz of Graz, under the name "KRB". Buildings and machinery were taken over from the plastics recycling company Relatex. The business premises are situated in Wildon, about 25 km to the south of Graz in the Austrian province of Styria. In 1991, when the shareholder Andritz left the company, KRB was given its current name "Ecoplast Kunststoffrecycling Ges.m.b.H.". Privatisation started in 1992 and was concluded in 1993. Ecoplast is now to 100 per cent owned by private individuals all having a personal affinity to waste management and setting great store by an economically prudent use of waste material. Construction of new "ECO 2000" building was started in 1997 and completed in the summer of 1998.
